Sinker EDM uses a shaped electrode to produce cavities and detailed features in conductive workpieces. The process is suited to hardened materials and geometries where direct tool access is limited.
The electrode concept, flushing conditions, target surface and dimensional references are reviewed as part of the manufacturing method. Requirements should be supported by a technical drawing and material information.
